  BEWARE, this is not a top notch provider, not even mediocre! I dropped by on a Friday and was told to comeback on Saturday at 7am. When I arrived I was asked to be patient and return at 1pm. I returned at 1 and still waited an additional hour. Finally, I was in the chair. It took 8hours of my time and $160 of cash only to arrive home and realize I had been ripped off. The entire back half of my hair was braided halfway. When I called the owner, I was told the person who braided my hair is now in Columbia and she herself was headed to church then Atlanta and there was no one to fix my hair even though the website has sunday hours of operation. Anywho, I returned on the following Wednesday as told by the owner. When I arrived there were several people sitting around and she was not present. They called her and she asked me to wait an hour for her to return. At this point, I left and I will never return but I wanted to share this horrible experience as I have noted there are many horror stories I wish is known about prior to service.

  This was the worst experience that I have ever had a salon. The owner was very rude, and so were the stylists. We were initially told over the phone that we could pay with our cards, so we didn't even think to stop and get cash. When got there, they got about half way through our braids, then stoped to ask for payment. That was when they told us that they could not take our cards, and that we would have to get cash from an ATM somewhere. We were completely new to the entire area, and actually live on the Georgia side in Columbia county. So I knew nothing about North Augusta, and of course could not find a non-suspicious looking ATM right away. We had also already been in the salon for about 5 hours, so we needed to find something to eat lunch. It took us about an hour to get back to the salon. The owner was there by then, who rudely asked us if we were back to pay our debt. We explained how we had gotten lost, and were starving, and that was what took us so long to get back. Every english speaking person in the salon then proceeded to yell at us that this has happened before, we should have called to let them know what was taking us so long, and other nonsense. We were ready to ask them to take what they had done back out, and just leave. The owner then apologizes and says that they have had people get their hair done, leave to get cash, and never come back. My issue was that they fussed at us for coming back. We had intended to pay from the beginning. They lied to us over the phone, saying that they took all credit cards with no problem, just to get us into their shop. They then told us after they had already gotten half way through our hair that they needed cash. They also tied some weird knot in the braids and cut our natural hair off of the braids so that they would look better, as opposed to just braiding the hair more securely. They could not care less if they damage your natural hair, they are just interesting in getting paid. They were very rude and unprofessional, and I urge everyone to please stay away from this salon.

  This is a terrible hair braiding salon. The building was dirty, run-down, and old. The people were very rude and unprofessional. The language barrier made it difficult to communicate the style I wanted and most of the time they spoke only their language. They lied about having a credit card machine and they force you to pay cash half way through the braiding process. The braids were too tight and they tied knots at the ends, which made it a nightmare to take out and damaged my hair. Just when I thought the attitudes of the stylist in the salon couldn't get worse the owner walks in and was the most disrespectful. They have zero respect for their customers and at as if everyone entering their shop is a thief. I would never go to this shop again and I advise others to stay away.
